Hello lovelies! Please bear with me while I make the transition back from WordPress to Blogger. I need to go through and insert images and do some more tweaks.

#Review: A Scot in the Dark (Scandal & Scoundrel #2) by @sarahmaclean #historicalromance #avonaddict #avon @avonbooks

SUPER stoked that I was able to review A Scot in the Dark. Sarah MacLean is one of my favorite historical authors (She is an automatic buy for me.) and I have been chomping at the bit to read this one-it was better than I imagined!

I immediately went in quite intrigued by Alec, the Duke of Warnick, from the first book in this series, The Rogue Not Taken. He was mysterious and seemed to not care about whatever it was London thought of him. I love a man that is quiet and confident. Fast forward to this book. I loved the depth of emotion and backstory for Alec. If I wasn't already half in love with him, I would have been pushed over the edge shortly after starting this story. He ranks up there as one of my favorites of her heroes.

Lillian was such a wonderful character. Ms. MacLean has a knack for creating strong, leading females. I felt for the predicament that Lilly found herself in. It's crazy the nonsense women had to go through and the double standards they had to face. She found the strength to face it all. I loved her spunk and tenacity. She was wonderful!

I can't say enough about how all sorts of awesome this book was. Ms. MacLean knows how to pen a fantastic novel!
