Hello lovelies! Please bear with me while I make the transition back from WordPress to Blogger. I need to go through and insert images and do some more tweaks.

ScarlettReader's Review of Do or Die (Reluctant Heroes #1) by Suzanne Brockmann

Do Or Die is the first book of Suzanne Brockmann’s new Reluctant Heroes series. It is a spinoff off of her Troubleshooters series but so much better than those stories!

Ex-Navy SEAL Ian Dunn turned his talents to stealing and con jobs…or did he? In reality, the former SEAL is still fighting for good, which makes him the perfect choice when the government must break into a highly guarded embassy and rescue kidnapped children.

Phoebe Kruger is Ian’s new lawyer and is nothing like Ian expects. She is smart, witty, and brash while looking like a librarian. Phoebe is determined to help set the abducted children free and ends up in all sorts of tight spots that Ian must help her out of.

There are so many bad guys and so much going on in this book, that at first, I had trouble following it, but this book got way better about one-third into it. By then all of the sub-plots started falling into place and the overall story made sense and became very exciting. This story is full of great action, tons of rescues, and steamy romance!

Ian and Phoebe have great chemistry together! Once they got together, I couldn’t put this book down. There are a lot of flawed secondary characters that I’m sure we will get to know in future books. Ms. Brockmann has started another terrific series!
