Hello lovelies! Please bear with me while I make the transition back from WordPress to Blogger. I need to go through and insert images and do some more tweaks.

Tour/Review: The Sweet Spot: A Novel - Stephanie Evanovich

This was a very challenging read for me. The beautiful cover and blurb had so much potential but I fell kind of flat. Let me give you a little set up.

Restaurant owner, Amanda, first meets Chase one night when he was meeting his agent for dinner. The moment they met it was instant interest. It was cute how they got together. Every woman wants that sort of attention from a hot, rich guy. They eventually got together after Amanda was basically leading him on. And after this point, it kind of goes down hill for me. There was some good potential for this story and I was so looking forward to the Dom/sub element. Aaaaannnnd this is where it started to go wonky for me.

The start had some decent detail and then it just kind of stopped. I feel like the author just wanted to get the story done and over with. There wasn't any real scene set-ups and the time frames were kind of scattered and brushed over. And the other thing, I thought with the kinky elements it would be some hot sex scenes but we end up seeing pretty much nothing. And what they do show is very short and not detailed at all. It left so much lacking and I ended up slightly confused.

And the last thing, the characters were decent but I felt there could have been more depth to their backgrounds and personalities and what makes them tick. Again, I'm going to use the word flat. This whole book in general could have been much more than what it was.
