All he wants this Christmas is her.

In the small town of Crystal Lake, Christmas is a time for sledding, hot chocolate, and cozying up to the fire with those you love. For Jake Edwards, it’s also time to come home and face his past. He thought there would never be anything harder than losing his brother. Turns out there is: falling in love with his brother’s widow, Raine.

Ever since they were little, Jesse was the Edwards brother who was always there for her, and Jake was the one who knew just how to push her buttons. Raine can’t imagine a life without them, which is why it was doubly decimating when Jake left town after his brother’s sudden death. Now he’s back and she doesn’t know whether to be mad or thrilled. Maybe both. Maybe it will be the perfect chance for both of them to finally find happiness again.

My Thoughts

I was a big fan of the first in this series, The Summer He Came Home, I was an instant fan of Juliana. I bought up her Barker Triplets series and gobbled them up. After reading all of them, I was really jonesing for the next in the Bad Boys series and was stoked when I found out it was Jake and Raine's story. I knew they were going to be a great story but I think I might have underestimated my opinion a bit.

I was blindsided by how emotional this story was. From the tension between Jake and Raine in book one, I knew this was going to be a must read not matter what. I have shed a few tears while reading books before but I can count on one hand where I have bawled my eyes out like a family member had died while reading a book on one hand and this one had me trying to muffle my sobs so the hubby wouldn't think anything was wrong. Well that and he would make fun of my woman emotions. Lol. But those two completely broke my heart! And the amount of emotional turmoil I went through while reading goes to show how amazing Juliana tells a story. She has made the characters so real that you feel everything they are. You want to crawl into the pages of the book and try to do anything you can to make them happy. Upon reading though, you slowly realize the only thing that can make Jake and Raine happy is Jake and Raine. And I have to say that they are completely made for each other and I was rooting so much for them. If any two people deserves a HEA, it's those two.

We also can't forget our secondary characters either. They were awesome and I definitely can't wait to read the next in the series. So even though my review didn't exactly tell you many details of the story, I recommend you get it as soon as it comes out. Actually, go ahead and buy The Summer He Came Home and then go pre-order The Christmas He Loved HerI insist you do this ASAP. You won't regret it!

And because I LOVED this book and The Summer He Came Home, I have awesome postcards that I will post a picture of as soon as I find them. Lol. We moved last week so I'm still trying to figure out where the hubby put things. So if interested, please fill out the Rafflecopter below. Giveaway ends Oct 4th!
