One Sweet Ride…

Oh yeah. A single look at the leggy blonde in the stands and Tucker Jenkins is ready to buck all night long. It’s time to forget all about his cheating ex and his usual hands off policy.

One Hot Night…

Becca Hart is an East Coast professor. Not a buckle bunny. But no degree can prepare her for the moves of the sexy bull rider she hooks up with at her first rodeo … Or the shock of finding him at her first Oklahoma State University staff meeting.

One Happy Ending…

Tuck knows it’s all about holding on, no matter how wild the ride. Now he just has to convince Becca that a rough start out of the chute doesn’t mean they aren’t a smokin’ combination …

My Thoughts:

So I can say that I absolutely love Cat Johnson’s Red, Hot, and Blue series and was totally stoked when I came across this new series of hers. I wasn’t disappointed!

Becca finds herself out of a job and the only place she can find one is half way across the country away from her family. After her sister applied for the position behind her back, Becca decides it wouldn’t hurt to at least see if the job might be worth it. That and her dwindling savings is screaming to go for it. Somehow, she finds herself roped (no pun intended.) into going to a rodeo in town that night and got more than she anticipated.

Tuck is in a dating slump. No woman is really catching his eye. He is tired of all the same buckle bunnies throwing themselves at any walking cowboy in the rodeo. Don’t get him wrong. Back in the day he would have been all for that sort of attention, but now? Not so much. And then a sexy member of the audience catches and keeps his eye. Needless to say, the rest is history.

I thought Tuck and Becca’s relationship was interesting to say the least. It was all hot and heavy that first night because hey, they weren’t going to see each other again. But then Becca takes the job at the university where Tuck also works in the ROTC program. It’s romantic how they can’t stop thinking about each other but at the same time, I want to shake some sense into Tuck for getting mad at Becca when he first sees her at her own faculty welcoming party. I mean come on! Stop being a jerk and get over the fact that she didn’t tell you exactly what she was doing in town. He didn’t exactly tell her that he wasn’t a full-time rodeo cowboy himself. Thankfully though, their attraction to one another quickly got past that. But of course it wouldn’t be a good romance book without some drama thrown in. Tuck’s sweet gesture left my heart aflutter. *sigh* I applaud you Cat, for another excellent read!
