Black Knights Inc.--Behind the facade of their tricked-out motorcycle shop is an elite special ops team assigned the jobs too hot for anyone else to handle.

He Never Misses a Target

Jake "the Snake" Sommers earned his SEAL codename by striking quickly and quietly - and with lethal force. That's how he broke Michelle Carter's heart. It was the only way to keep her safe - from himself. Four long years later, Jake is determined to get a second chance. But to steal back into Michelle's loving arms, Jake is going to have to prove he can take things slow. Real slow...

She Aims to Make Him Beg

Michelle Carter has never forgiven Jake for being so cliché as to "love her and leave her." But when her brother, head of the Black Knights elite ops agency, ticks off the wrong mobster, she must do the unimaginable: place her life in Jake's hands. No matter what they call him, this man is far from cold-blooded. And once he's wrapped around her heart, he'll never let her go...

MY THOUGHTS:

Can I say that Rev it Up so far is my favorite in this series so far. I really liked Michelle in In Rides Trouble. She had sass and you could tell she is a strong woman with high morals so I knew with those characteristics, there was no way I wouldn’t like her. I was surprised by how much I ended up liking Jake because at the end of the previous book, I wasn’t sure if I would like his neanderthal seeming ways. I love happy surprises.

There is a depressing backstory that comes with Jake and Michelle’s story that was so sad, even if I wasn’t pregnant, I would have shed tears anyway. I knew that there were going to be tremendous hurdles Michelle and Jake would have to get over to become the couple they were meant to be. There were a couple twists that I didn’t see coming at all until they were unfolding that had me floored. I could honestly say I wouldn’t have done what Michelle did to Jake even if she thought she was doing the right thing. This had me shaking my head at Michelle. But I guess she had her reasons

You can always count on lots of action in this series too. I couldn’t even believe one of the scenes that Julie wrote. My mouth dropped open when I read the details. That is not the normal level of intensity and real life scenario that is in a romance novel. And you know what? I loved it. It added a level of reality to the novel that made my decision of making it my favorite in the series. Again, loved it!

There is something that I didn’t like at all. I think that every person who is an avid reader can agree to…it ended too quickly!! All great books do. Oh AND I have to wait sooooooo long for the next in the series, Thrill Ride, to come out. At least I was temporarily satisfied with the cover reveal for it a couple days ago. And now the waiting game begins for my next fix of this series. Hello. My name is Crystal and I’m addicted to the Black Knights Inc series. *sigh*

RATING:

I never wanted it to end!! I have a chant of Jake going on in my head. Lol.

Bow chika wow wow! Hehe.
