Jessie Chambers—“Sunni” to the local BDSM community—needs to grow up. Her master, Sir Rune, has told her to get a job. Her sister slave sage is struggling through college, serious as ever. Sunni goes to the local goth/kink store, The Fringe Element, and is immediately embraced by its quirky owner as the newest member of her “little family.” But almost immediately things start to get complicated. Sunni’s ex shows up, claiming he’s found God and that God wants them to get back together. A video of Sunni and Sir Rune doing a scene at the club winds up on television and all kinds of trouble ensues. Sunni must figure out a way to restore her relationships, keep her master from getting deported, take over running the store, and stop everybody else from trying to “save Sunni.”

I have read my fair share of BDSM themed books but I can definitely say that this is the most interesting one I have read. There was one particular thing in the book that although I know it may be what other people are interested in, but I find kind of odd.

I know you are thinking, well, this is a BDSM book so it is all odd, but if you haven’t read any of this genre or participate in it, you may not know what it can give to the couple. I understand that some people find release or a sort of peacefulness when doing an activity.

Saving Sunni was wonderfully written and helped spell out a little more of what a BDSM relationship is all about. It also helps show what a relationship between three people is like. I personally don’t think I could be a part of something like that but everyone needs to be loved and I say if they can find love and/or happiness with an extra partner, then more power to them.

I know I didn’t write a lot about the actual storyline of the book but I honestly feel like this is a book you have to read and experience it, especially if you have never read a BDSM novel. You couldn’t find a better book that shows you the ropes (Hehe) and helps clear up some of the misunderstandings of this culture. I do have to say…great writing and imagery makes up an eye opening, holy crap this is hot book. :) Oh and I want to punch Sunni’s ex. Lol!
