They're going to balance each other perfectly--or drive each other completely, utterly insane...

On a wild pre-deployment celebration in Las Vegas, Captain Timothy O'Shay encounters free-spirited beauty Skye McDermott, and for once lets down his guard. Now his life is about to take off in directions he never could have imagined...

You know something about Sourcebooks authors that I just love. Their books! Lol. I know that seems like an obvious “duh” but hear me out. It isn’t just what’s inside the books, it’s also what’s on the outside. Heck, even their marketing team rocks. :)

Nothing screams train wreck like a drunken elopement in Las Vegas with someone you have known for less than an hour right? You would think so but it turns out in this case, opposites attract and work. Let’s take our female lead for example. Skye is a free spirit who grew up on a commune. Society would label her a hippie (quite frankly, I did too). Oh and let’s not forget that she is a firm believer in Fate. I think that her belief enabled the marriage to have the fighting chance that it did. If she didn’t believe that meeting Tim happened.

Tim is a super structured Marine who usually is the responsible one out of the group. He never really just lets loose and have fun. Him and a few members from his team were having a fun night in Vegas before they had to deploy again and he decides to let loose and have a little fun. Well, he got a little carried away and is way past drunk. He sets his eyes on a foxy lady and they end up having a one night stand. Turns out that one night stand turned into a marriage that he doesn’t even remember. Makes things interesting. Lol.

This was a great story that mixed up a traditional idea of what marriage is can be turned into something great from a little of nothing. It gives hope that all you need is a little communication and hard work and marriage can work. I can’t wait to read the next in the series. Jeremy seems like he is going to catch my heart within the first couple pages. :)

Have I mentioned that I love military reads before? This book wasn't super into it but how could you go wrong with a man in uniform??

Some sweet lovin' that will keep you warm at night. ;)
